My regular readers are aware if my mission to share the beauty of Palawan with my readers and viewers through my blogs, YouTube vlogs and my Facebook page. BUT it does not end there- I am also a Google Local Guide ( thanks to Miss Andrea) and at the end of 2022 I was honoured to be :

Wherever I travel in Palawan I write a review and ad photos, and some of them are seen by thousands of people.
This photo of Punta Playa at Lio, taken in August , was seen by 50,000 people!
Last year I made a total of 475 contributions - wow!
I reported on 55 locations across Palawan as I toured the country writing my blogs, making vlogs and sharing photos through TBK Facebook page.

As you can see from the map I still have plenty of Palawan to discover and this year will be visiting some of the Islands around Palawan like Cuyo, Coron and the Balabac Islands.
I contributed 367 photos last year to Google Local Guides and answered many questions and made many recommendations to people wanting to visit the Philippines in the various Facebook groups like

In addition to my role as a Local guide on Google and my role promoting Palawan with The British Kabayan I have been touring the island taking photos for Chester's 2013 Calendar and sharing the beauty of places in Puerto Princesa like Baywalk and Balayong Park . We have also done photo shoots at Long Beach, Alimanguan and Sabang. We have 7 more shoots to do at Nacpan, Angkla, El Nido, Lio, Port Baron and Bato Ni Ning Ning and the Secret Beach. Next we will be going to Nactoban beach to celebrate Chester's 1st Birthday in April and I am making a special doggy cake for him.

Finally I have been busy working on my 2023 Recipe book which will appear on line from 15th January monthly with 6 recipes each month. I have tried to showcase the best of Filipino cuisine with dishes like Banana Yogurt bread, Porc Tocino, Ginataang Adobo, Gambas and Pastel de Nata. In addition I have shared some of the International dishes I have learnt to cook on my cookery lessons in Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and with my Indian and Pakistani friends in Bahrain.
Developing young talent and showcasing it is important to me and so I feature some new chefs who I have been teaching to cook like Frythy, Noel, Joven and Kevin and some experienced Chefs from Palawan like Chef Arnel, Poochie and Sweet Chef Jam.
In addition to all this we have TBK Gives where I share the good luck and guidance I have received in the past in my work in the UK, at University, from my Mentors and through my savings from my 12 years in the Middle East with young deserving Palawenos who I have met on my travels. Frythy, Noel and Joven all work for me cleaning and ironing and doing odd jobs around the house. Jhoanna and Elay do my shopping and assist with getting props for the calendar, registering my phone and buying items online. Mia has just joined my Scholars studying Art at PNS and in Aberawan Aimea, who I have sponsored through HOPE since 2017 is now 13 years old. In Barutaan I also sponsor Kit who is studying Criminology in El Nido at PSU. In addition I support various young groups like the Alimanguan Skimmers, the local Basketball players with new kit, and budding entrepreneurs like Adam at Dam Dams in Port Barton which was wiped out by Typhoon Odette.
So I hope that answers the question I am often asked:
