I did not have much luck with my last few birthdays in Bahrain. When I was 58 I tripped and fell in the car park at Bapco the day before my birthday and fractured my wrist so had to cook single handed. Kiti ki, who was going to cook the Thai food had to return to Thailand and Corleen went to collect the cake from Coco but he was running late, so I ended up alone in the kitchen!
Joshua, who was in charge of decorations , stepped in to help outand eventually the party decorations were completed.....Someone changed the numbers around to make me 85!
For my 60th I had planned to have dinner at the Gulf Hotel with Phil and Di flying in from the UK. COV 19 got in the way this time and BA cancelled their flights . I was still recovering from my hip replacement so I had a quiet meal at home. Sadly we had to cancel my grand farewell birthday bash which we had arranged at "Fusions by Tala" the rooftop restaurant at the Gulf Hotel .
So I don't think I will bother to celebrate again!
