TBK Gives- The Palawan flood victims

           Flooded roads in Palawan

Please pray for Palawan.

Pray for all the flood victims.

When I saw this I new I had to help. The south of Palawan got hit with a lot of rain, streets and houses flooded and a 5 year old child drowned. I sent TJ just under 100 bd ( 13,000 peso) and even though it was raining and roads were still flooded in Puerto Princessa she went shopping for the flood victims. She had already donated some clothes from her and her friends and Ate Jhoanna. another of my anaks. When she spoke to the charity they said they had enough clothes so needed food and toiletries.

Just some of the canned food that she bought

Having purchased all the food and got it back to her boarding house she enlisted the help of the girls she shares a house with to pack it all.

My special thanks to Teaj, Chartreusesweet , Delicias Cyrille Mae , Badenas Abrea , Carla Jane Haum,  Cayapas Trexielyn,  Mae C. Factor and ate Kat  for giving up their weekend to pack all the bags. I have promised them all a meal at Jollibee's when I finally reach Palawan.

The finished bags for 50 families affected by the floods- well done girls

At the same time I contacted Mama Jam in Austria and he contacted his family and friends back in Palawan. He reported that the kids in the Nara area had "No houses and schooling too" and arranged for his HOPE charity to make up bags for the kids and enlisted the help of his friend Jeremy, a Pastry Chef originally from Nara, to help out.

I read this morning ( 25.10.21) that the rains are heading north and bringing trees down, blocking roads near El Nido- On the Facebook page of radio station

RGMA Super Radyo DYSP 909Khz Palawan  I saw the following:

Congratulations to
MDRRRMO partners of Philippine Coast Guard Station and Philippine Coast Guard BRP Cabra who immediately carried out a clearing operation to remove the trees and make the area safe to pass through. I always love the way the gwapo coastguard boys turn up in the floods in shorts , tee shirts and tsinellas in the pouring rain to help stranded locals !!

Further south a major search was carried out to find he bodies of the children carried away by the floods:

"BODY OF ONE OF THE MISSING INDIVIDUALS TAKEN BY FLOOD IN NARRA CITY, HAS BEEN RECOVERED BY AUTHORITIES.
