Only 40 working days left- please meet my new landlady - Daniw

You can see her TV programme here:

 Daniw

What a wonderful lady and she has 3 lovely kids- I think we are going to get on really well! She is going to help me find a dog when I arrive in Palawan in February, and she is going to help me find a plot of land to build on or a house by the sea.

You can read more on her website:

Bahay Kalipay

Jhoanna went to Puerto on 9 December to meet her and see my new house and they agreed on the Dirty Kitchen Daniw is having built at the back to store all my 56 boxes when they arrive on 1.2.21

Daniw, Elay and Jhoanna out for lunch in Puerto

Jhoanna and Danica and Elay had a great 3 days in Puerto, at my expense, as a pre Christmas treat staying at my favourite hotel there , Microtel. They loved it and I shared some pics of my many happy memories there over the last 8 years with Johanna .

Back here in Bahrain the house seems empty now all my stuff is on the way to Palawan, but I have been too busy at work to notice. Ate Hazel and I ran the last 3 programmes for the Security Officers on 6.7.8 December- so thats 160 new security officers trained in 3 months with some great feedback over 40 courses . Our first classroom training in the Academy since COV 19 started in March.

                                            Course 18 of 22

The Customer Care training that I designed is so popular , and our schedule so full, that I worked the Friday  before last, and will be back in the classroom on a Friday in January, delivering more Customer Care Training for Awali Hospital receptionists. We had lunch at the Bapco club, another first, and some group photos and a lot of fun.

Neil with half the hospital reception team , Denise and Dana on Fri 11th Dec.

I caught up to date with my ILM marking and chased everyone who has not yet completed the programme so we can order their certificates before I leave in just 40 days.

My last Christmas in Dubai in 2014

Finally when everything was done at work, and my belongings on the way to Palawan , I decided I needed a rest, my first vacation since January, and headed off for a final trip to Dubai to say farewell to Erickson and Jeyboy. I will tell you all about that in a future blog.

For the next 10 days my focus is on getting my paperwork sorted for the Philippines and then booking my flight, once Bapco pay me and return the money for my relocation. I came back from Dubai on 21 Dec and ran 2 online workshops   for ILM 3 on 22 December, their last workshop with me!

Bapco insisted I do 5 days Quarantine so I was working from home from 22- 24 Dec so I returned my car to Yacouby Car hire from 14 to 27 Dec to save 70 Bd. Corleen took me to and from the airport and I will be home alone over Christmas.

So here is the 40 day countdown poster designed by Chester and I. We have tried to feature many of Palawan's beautiful places from the Underground River ( next) to the beautiful beaches at Nacpan and St Vicente . We had Jullymar's Island ( now up for sale) and the beautiful mountains near Brookes point. So this week we are going to one of the favourite spots of Jhoanna and I in Puerto Princessa- Baker's Hill which is always decorated beautifully for the Festive season and does wonderful cakes and biscuits. We never managed to go there together yet but Chester and Photoshop can make anything happen....

So all that remains is for me to wish you all

      Maligayang Pasko- Merry Christmas

Manigong Bagong Taon - Happy New Year
